What happened to GummySearch?
GummySearch was a web app for researching Reddit audiences, tracking keywords in posts and comments and finding sales opportunities on Reddit. Its founder explained that it could not reach an agreement with Reddit for a commercial license to Reddit's Data API, so it had to become non-commercial or close. According to GummySearch's closing notice (opens a new tab):
- 30 November 2025: closed to new signups, purchases, upgrades and renewals.
- 1 December 2025 – 30 November 2026: available to past customers only.
- 1 December 2026: full shutdown; user data permanently deleted.
